Welcome to the Bedding Department
We are often asked what the main task of a mattress is. Most people answer this question with „sleeping comfortably or well“ or simply „not having back pain in the morning“. Michael Stege, Key Account Manager at Metzeler, deals with precisely these and many other exciting questions in an interview on the Internet radio programme „Was denn?
Sleeping well: What does that mean?
Essentially, night after night, it is about reaching our deep sleep phases faster. Because it is during these phases that our body recovers best, because the entire body relaxes. Basically, it can be said that we are more likely to reach a deep sleep phase with the right mattress than with the wrong one. But other factors such as the slat base and the pillow also play an important role alongside the right mattress. These three units should be ideally coordinated with each other; after all, we spend about a third of our lives in bed.
Certified by the Healthy Back Campaign
Only two mattress manufacturers in Germany have been certified by AGR (Aktion Gesunder Rücken). We at Metzeler are particularly proud to be one of these two manufacturers. Especially with orthopaedic mattresses, it makes a big difference to the people concerned whether all the criteria of a perfect mattress are met. In addition, size, body weight and, if applicable, the individual clinical picture also have an influence on how one ultimately sleeps. Different cutting techniques inside the mattress can meet individual needs. In any case, it is worth visiting a mattress specialist shop and getting specific advice from the expert staff.
